City Guide

Come to Turin and discover the treasures of the city, let yourselves be guided by its beauty and savour its delights as you walk in the matrix-like grid of its straight roads, and come across large squares full of light and lined with imposing, noble and public buildings from various historical periods, like Palazzo Carignano, home of the Risorgimento Museum.

You can start from Piazza Castello, the heart of the cityoverlooked by Palazzo Reale (the "Royal Palace"), Palazzo Madama and the Cathedral with the Guarini Cupola, guardian of the Holy Shroud, and then stroll down Via Po, stopping to browse around the little shops under the arches. At the end of Via Po, you will come to Piazza Vittorio, dominated at the far end by the majestic Gran Madre Church, and here you can relax in some of the city's finest traditional cafès and sample some of the specialities of Turin, Italy's chocolate capital.
